Things, on the home front you could say, seem to be returning back to “normal” … whatever that is. LOL! Jessie is adjusting to life outside of school and is finding that she abhors doing chores. (heh, what kid doesn’t?) Of course she went on this long tirade the other night about how chores are cruel and kids shouldn’t have to do them and how when she gets home, all she wants to do “is just sit down and relax†…
ROFL … yeah, so would I. ;)
Heh, that aside, things are finally settling down for the most part. Though now her mother has started picking at her for the way she dresses, etc. I had bought her a new pair of crocs – these are bright pink and Jessie loves them. Her mother now complains because her shoes don’t match her outfits … and that she needs to “start matching more.â€
WTF? Who freakin’ CARES if she matches? I mean honestly, what 9 year old has a pair of shoes to match every outfit? None that I know …
Well, she also picks at Jessie because I had bought her a new headband – you know the kind that look like a scarf and the ends hang down? Well, Jessie loves it, and I thought it was pretty. Jessie wears it with every outfit and my justification was that it matches her new shoes. :) (It’s pink and yellow and purple) Her mother, of course, hates it and makes Jessie take it off when she gets to her house.
*shrug* Whatever … Jessie was upset when I picked her up yesterday about it, and I hugged her and told her to “ignore what Mommy says†and that she looks just fine.
If you ask me, her mother is in NO position to critique anyone else’s wardrobe choices! Hers look like something out of Britney Spears’ closet!
Aaaaaannnnyways, I’m hoping to start back furniture shopping soon, as we will soon be in need of a new couch. (Kids and cats — they wear them out! LOL!!)
