Had a random call from a guy trying to sell home security systems. I get them coming door to door in my subdivision from time to time, but this is the first time I’ve had one call me. The call went like this:

Me: “Hello?”

Caller: “Hello, this is (NAME) from (COMPANY). I wanted to reach out to you today to see if you would be interested in an exciting opportunity we have available in your area. We will provide you with a (COMPANY) home security system free of charge. In return, we ask that you display a (COMPANY) sign in your front yard–”

Me: “No thanks, I already have a security system.”

Caller: “That’s wonderful! May I ask whose system you are using?”

Me: “Smith & Wesson.”

Caller: “…”

He hung up on me after that. I thought it was pretty funny myself. :p
