Nearing the 12 hour mark since I started on my WordPress upgrade to 2.0 this morning. I must say, despite the massive amount of documentation and reading and headache of file comparisons and hack-job searching/retrievals, this has (almost!) been my easiest major upgrade.
Scary, I know …
Of course, I still have 3 other WP installs to do, and 2 of them will be custom re-writes — or rather, total re-writes — but I’ll worry about those later on next month when I have more time and attention (read: patience) to focus to the task at hand.
Honestly, the only snags I have hit today are minor. Plus one of which was an oversight on my part: extra spaces in my copy of Ryan Boren’s Theme Switcher file, causing it to wig. The other ‘snag’ was Kaf’s Get Author Profile tripped up a bit … but I can see that he’s aware of it, and I hope an updated version is released soon.
Until then, my author pages will be a bit off … I can live with that.
Mouseovers on speed … cooooooool
