The Meme: Share six non-important things/habits/quirks about yourself.
- I’m a little OCD when it comes to chewing and food. I have to chew equal amounts on both sides of my mouth. And if I’m eating candies (M&Ms!), I match ‘em up by color and chew one of each on each side of my mouth.
- My favorite brand of chocolate is Hershey’s.
- I absolutely LOATHE the color pink — but will jump at the chance to dress my child in it. ~smirk~
- One of the quickest ways for a server (in a restaurant) to piss me off is to stick a lemon in my sweet tea. (Particularly because I almost always ask NOT to have a lemon!)
- Sometimes I absentmindedly grind my teeth in time to whatever song is stuck in my head.
- I don’t care what you print about me, just make sure you get my name right.

Not bad, but I used to be a LOT faster. My co-workers tease me all the time about my typing, telling me that I don’t “type like a programmer” LOL

Getting to Know Your Friends

Teresa sent me this, so I figured I’d post here instead of emailing the whole world.
Welcome to the 2008 edition of Getting to Know Your Friends. What you are supposed to do is copy (not forward) this entire e-mail and paste it onto a new e-mail that you will send. I hope everyone is having a great start to the new year. We have been pretty lazy this year and have stayed home watching football, eating, and cooking — just not necessarily in that order.
Jess and I are enjoying the Dirty Jobs marathon, and I thought this would be a perfect time to make my first post of the new year.

Restaurant Meme

Here are the rules:

I live in Alabama, USA.
The restaurants
- Cajun Steamer – Hands down one of my favorite places to be. Their food is IMO the best Cajun and Creole cuisine outside of New Orleans!
- Bento – One of my newest favorite restaurants. I’m a huge fan of Japanese places, but Bento also has always given us the best service. The owners and wait staff have always been very accommodating and have gone out of their way on several occasions to make sure that we’re happy. They treat their customers very well, and to me that speaks volumes!
- Stix – Another fave of mine, also Japanese. It’s located just outside the Galleria and is a bit “artsier” than Bento. I’ve gotten great service there in the past, and have always loved their shows!
- Doodles – Another great Cajun place (anyone noticing a theme? LOL!), has some AWESOME po-boys! The owners are very nice people and are often involved in the community.
- Baumhower’s Wings – I absolutely LOVE me some good hot wings, and IMO Baumhower’s is the best, hands down! And besides, how can I turn down any place run by a ‘Bama alum and former Miami Dolphins pro?
Honorable Mention: Leo & Susie’s Greentop BBQ – It’s not exactly “local” to me anymore. *pout* I’ve eaten at this place since I was a kid and the only reason I wish I still lived in Corner is so I could be closer to Greentop! :lol:
