Harry Potter

As I’m sure most of you are aware (or, if you weren’t you are now), the latest and final installment in the Harry Potter books is set to be released this weekend.

[Edit: My bad, the 7th book is the last, this is the 6th]

I’ve seen it floating around several Torrent sites, but have resisted the urge to download and read through it early. That’d be almost like … cheating. :razz:

Anyways, I did run across something on Harry Potter Automatic News Aggregator (or, HPANA): a link to the USA Today Entertainment section. It seems they were running a series of HP-themed articles. A cool read if you’re a heavy-Harry’d fan.

Jessie and I spent the better part of yesterday afternoon and last night finishing her website. Well, as finished as it will be until tonight — she wants to add more pictures! *lol*

I laid out the structure and she typed most of the words and drag’n'dropped the pictures into Dreamweaver. Even when I dropped her off for school this morning, she was already thinking about all the Harry Potter and Yu-gi-oh pictures she wants to add, so I’ll have to show her how to split it into more pages.

*sniff* My baby’s made her first website. Of course, I told her that when she got a little older, she could get her own domain and write the pages herself. She’s already excited about that.

I had forgotten how much I loved driving in the early hours …

I had to come in to work early this morning, so it was still twilight when I left my house. I stopped by Waffle House and snagged a quick bite to take with me and headed towards downtown. The sun was just coming up over Red Mountain, I had forgotten how pretty the city looked this early in the morning.

I hate rush hour traffic, I hate driving an hour each way to a job that stresses me out. I miss watching the sun rise on my way to work each morning. *sigh* I need a new job.

Anyways … I was talking to Jessie about Halloween coming up next month. She wants to be Harry Potter this year (she was Harry Potter year before last, lol). She wants me to be a witch “so we’ll match”, but I’m thinking of going as an Egyptian of some sort. There’s a diadem I’ve been drooling over, so I might snag it in the next coupla weeks and a black Cleopatra wig or something. I have plenty of other costume jewelry that I can wear, and a dress would be no problem. Now to stock up on makeup … woohoo!
