  • Great news! The latest version of the Aionfox addon for Firefox has passed its preliminary review by the Mozilla editors and is now available again on the Mozilla site. There have been changes in the way addons have been handled recently and I was afraid that I would lose my listing on Mozilla.org because Aionfox is "a simple bookmark addon", but luckily I was proved wrong. ^_^

    So what does this mean?

The download link to the addon is the same, and with their new process, updates will be reviewed and made available to the public faster. The addon will retain an "Experimental" tag ... meaning that editors have made sure there are no security risks for using the addon, but there is always the slim chance of bugs. (highly unlikely in this case because it's just bookmarks!)

So, basically there's a different looking button now, but nothing else has changed. ^_^

    Getting started

To install Aionfox, visit to the Aionfox website to read up on the addon or go directly to the download link here. Click on the yellow button that says "Add to Firefox."

When the "Software Installation" box pops up and the 'Install Now' button becomes available, click that. When asked to restart your browser, do so to see the addon installed. The bookmarks menu will appear to the right of the Firefox 'Help' menu item.

A big thanks to the Mozilla review team and my many friends who have helped me test this addon over the last year. I couldn't have done this without y'all! ♥
