Odd that this is still an issue?

June 10, 2008 by Nicki

I was perusing my feeds this morning and saw a link to an article on Michelle Malkin’s site covering the recent buzz about Barack Obama’s birthplace and lack of birth certificate.

Jeez, I thought this had been settled already?

Apparently not. So what is the big deal? What is it Obama does not want us to see?

do you honestly think there’s something to this? Malkin is a well-documented racist and psycho. Anything coming out of her site has about as much credibility as lolcats from icanhazcheezburger.

Can you substantiate that allegation? I may not always agree with her views, but I don’t recall ever seeing anything remotely racist printed on her site, nor said in any of her television/radio appearances.

you bet. Her first book was entitled “In Defense of Internment: The World War II Round-Up and What It Means For America’s War on Terror.” In it she argues that rounding up the Japanese simply because of their race was justified, and that we should do it now to Arabs. Clearly, outrageously racist. For more of Malkin’s greatest hits, Media Matters’ collection of her bigotry is extensive and disturbing: http://mediamatters.org/issues_topics/tags/michelle_malkin

I think MM is an extreme. IMHO – I think it makes Republicans look pathetic when they are grasping for personal attacks on the other side as a way to position their candidate better & vis-versa.

    *hugs to both of you*

It sounds like a tit for tat charge like when the libs tried to say that McCain can’t run because he was born “off soil” – that too was put to bed fast. I don’t know, but I’m pretty sure that some No Such Agency, FBI, CIA or whatever has already vetted the point BHO can run for president of this country.

yes, it was a tit-for-tat thing, and it’s all pretty much a non-issue. It’s why you saw that “security breach” in the state department on Obama’s passport file, though. Someone wanted to see a copy of that birth certificate, saw it was legit, and the whole thing died.

I love it when someone screams “racist”. I ask them to define it
and they can’t. It’s very entertaining.

wow, racist is pretty easy to define, not that anyone’s yelling here that I can tell. :-)

Hummm… I looked up Michelle Malkin and I think she’s absolutely
brilliant. Anyone who shines the light on liberal cockroaches causing
them to scatter is OK by me. No, I’m not a Republican nor am I a
Democrat. Republicans disgust me but Democrats are special, they
horrify me. Liberals espouse freedom of speech as long as it’s their
speech but when someone’s writings or language exposes liberals
for what they really are, liberals demand censorship. The person or
organization is called horrible names and their intelligence and or
lineage is always questioned. Amazing isn’t it? I love it.

YatPundit my friend, you missed the metaphor and proved my point.
You questioned intelligence. ROTFLMAO I like you, you’re funny. You
remind me of my liberal hippie freak friends from four decades ago,
before they grew up. I think it’s wonderful. We need people like you.
Without your ilk, things would be very boring.
