Only in New Orleans

April 22, 2008 by Nicki

Jim grew up in and around New Orleans. His 20th class reunion is coming up. Guess where they’re having it? In a casino.

Only in New Orleans. ;)

So we’ve got a few months before then. Jim wants to put his weight loss plan in overdrive. Me, I don’t think it will take me that long, and my Tai Chi starts next week. I figure I do that a little while, then I can start hitting the weights again.

Staying dedicated isn’t a problem, making time is …

It will be kind of neat though … meeting the people I’ve heard about over the past 5-6 years. :)

Edit: ~just~ as I hit “Publish” it dawned on me … there are Cotillion sisters living down this way.

MEETUP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’m really excited about a meetup. I was hoping that my trip to Savannah in June would bring a few out, but there were no takers. :( Maybe there are no tiaras near there.

    I can’t wait to meet y’all! Woot!

Do you already have a tiara?

Not yet, but I’ve been shopping. Found a few that I liked “ok” … found one that I LOVE but it’s only available in child sizes, so I may see if a local jeweler can reproduce or something. :)

Gah…time is but many of the reasons I can never stick to anything health-wise. No time, no willpower, and then when I have both of those in spades, there is absolutely no desire to move around.

You two don’t look like you need to lose any, so I am sure it won’t take any time at all to reach your goals!

Aw, thank you DSB. It’s more vanity pounds than anything. I just know that I felt better before and all this over-eating isn’t good for me. I usually feel a lot better when I’m more active.

(You know, I’ve found that a bowl of cereal quenches most any cravings I get! Simple, yet effective. :) )
