Why? I'm a native son of Alabama, I attended classes at The University of Alabama in the womb and I could not care less about football. My father was not only an alumni but a huge football fan. I was on the wrestling team in high school. I guess I've always had a preference for one on one or singular performance sports like track or gymnastics. I am considered weird by my fellow Southerners because of my refusal to worship the gridiron gladiators. If football disappeared tomorrow, the only problem for me would be having to put up with all the grown men wandering around mumbling to themselves because they now have to pay attention to their wives and girlfriends.
