That same &quot;person&quot; (and I&#039;m being nice here by using that word  :mad: ) who said &quot;let it go already&quot; is the same type of person who probably says the same thing about Memorial Day, Veterans Day, 9/11 and other days of remembrance. I have little, or no respect for those folks, because it&#039;s the thinking behind that statement that is severally flawed.

Throughout this day, I&#039;ve perused many blogs, and I&#039;ve really taken notice that many folks like you and others are either asking, stating or truly concerned that our great nation has changed since WWII. There is obviously a very noticible lack of unity, National pride, love of country and pariotism (now considered a dirty word by some), and it seems to be based in, at least in part, a severe lack of teaching by parents and school systems about what our nation is really about and our honorable history. 

You are so correct to use Santayana&#039;s quote regarding this issue, and BTW, most folks attribute that statement to the wrong person(s)...but you&#039;re such a smart person, ya got it right missy... :razz:
