Funniest “anti-piracy” ad

This might just be the best send-up of the MAFIAA’s anti-piracy ads ever, making the case for buying pirate copies, rather than being stuck with DVDs that complain about piracy in unskippable, condescending PSAs. JPEG Link, Mirror (via Wonderland)

Amen!! That’s one of the things about buying movies nowadays — if you buy them LEGALLY, you’re forced to sit through unwanted previews, anti-piracy ads and skits, lame FBI warnings, et. al. and you can’t bypass the shit! WTF am I paying for then????

Screw unrated versions and extras, let me buy a DVD where I can skip through all that crap!

It was bad enough having to fast forward through that kind of crap on VHS tapes … and when DVD’s became more available I thought “This is AWESOME, no more waiting and wading through crap!”

    :P

Converting video and editing is a rite pain. Maybe we should manually edit the dvd files in a hex editor relocating the header(s)information a bit farther down the file and delete the first bit.

If that doesn’t work, maybe, show up at the cinema 15 mins late, bypassing the long lines , and maybe even get a discount because you aren’t seeing the full film :)

    Thirdly:
Put fresh batteries in the remote :/

    Cheers ,
